Invisible Playground (D)
Field Office Budapest

What happened the last time you were at Nyugati? Did you notice anything out of the ordinary? Did you know that Nyugati allows you to communicate with aliens, meet the undead, and run with the wolves? That you can go on patrol, dance for your life and control the weather? That here is the perfect place to be intensely alone, make new friends, or find true love?

The Field Office Budapest opens at Nyugati to create micro-utopias that amplify and remix facts and fiction, fears and fantasies surrounding the site. Working in and out of the Field Office, Invisible Playground and local codesigners investigate the area and interview informants. Using a special toolkit and rich experience from previous playgrounds, the Field Office transforms local intelligence into site-specific games. In a series of live events and during regular opening hours, the games are tested with and introduced to interested players. Before leaving Nyugati, a set of game kits is released, waiting for you to use, anytime you want, here, at Nyugati.

On this website you will find a live documentation of the complete game design process from the first research phase to the final game kits: http://fieldofficebudapest.com
