Usedesign Project Usedesign Project is the joint venture of four designer groups that includes four independent artistic projects which are linked by a common concept and starting point. The young artists experiment with re-designing the necessary, nevertheless often anti-aesthetic accessories of our city life to which we are prone to become oblivious. What does this mean? Part of the 8th district will be transformed into a 'living gallery' by Újirány group who will label reality for us and introduce us to the anecdotes of the local community. The 1000% group will transform and renovate old and forlorn basement doors and will use street art to treat us to a series of visual surprises while walking in the city. Part of the Usedesign projects will be created in public workshops where the artists invite us to get involved and participate in the creative process. If you are up to it, you can re-design a concrete mixer truck with the designers of Szövetség'39 or build a 'community couch' (priccs) in public space with Virtualmogyoro Studio. Usedesign Project aims to explore the possibilities of design and show that small changes can have a great impact on our everyday life and on how we feel about the city as our home.
